Monteverde is the general name used to describe the area around the Monteverde Cloud Forest, but it’s a little misleading because the place actually includes several small neighborhoods which are all quite close together- Monteverde, Cerro Plano, Perro Negro, and Santa Elena, which is the largest of the neighborhoods. 

A packing list for Monteverde may sound relatively easy. The place is in the mountains, and it is a cloud forest. How hard can it be? Well, there is more to it than you may think.

A packing list to go to Monteverde might not seem hard to put together. You will be staying in the luxurious ambiance at the Ocotea Boutique Hotel. And the mountainous region around us, although rich in pure wilderness, tends to have a gentle climate, mild weather, and very few mosquitos.
